Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice explains how Wallflower Laundry Valet (“Wallflower,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit our website or Square Online ordering site, place an order, complete a Laundry Profile or communicate with us.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number and preferred contact method.
- Your service address, apartment or property details, pickup and return instructions, and access information you choose to provide.
- Your Laundry Profile, including detergent, fabric-softener, folding, hanging, sensitivity and care preferences.
- Order details, requested dates and windows, bag quantities, add-ons, recurring schedule choices, special instructions and acknowledgments.
- Payment status, transaction references, refunds and limited billing records. Wallflower does not receive or store your complete payment-card number.
- Communications you send to us, including questions, complaints, photographs and claim information.
- Marketing preferences and information you submit through an email signup or contact form.
- Technical and usage information such as IP address, browser or device type, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location, timestamps, cookie identifiers and interactions with our websites.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Process payment, evaluate service eligibility, schedule and complete laundry service.
- Follow your care preferences and maintain your Laundry Profile.
- Communicate about orders, pickup, return delivery, payment, delays, service changes and customer support.
- Issue refunds or credits and address quality concerns, claims and payment disputes.
- Send marketing communications when you choose to receive them.
- Maintain business, tax, payment and dispute records.
- Protect customers, personnel, property and our service from fraud, misuse or unsafe conditions.
- Measure website use and operate, secure and improve our websites and business processes.
- Comply with applicable law and enforce our Service Terms.
3. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information only as reasonably necessary with:
- Personnel and contractors who help perform pickup, delivery, laundry processing, customer support or administration.
- Service providers that support ordering, payments, forms, analytics, cookie consent, email, text messaging, file storage, website hosting and related business operations.
- Property personnel or a person you authorize when needed to complete a pickup or return delivery.
- Government authorities, courts, insurers, professional advisers or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety and property.
- A successor in connection with a merger, sale, financing, reorganization or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate protections.
4. Square, Google, Cookiebot and other providers
Our ordering and payment site is provided through Square Online. Square may process contact information, service and delivery information, order details, payment information, device information and communications needed to provide checkout, payment, fraud-prevention and order-notification services. Square’s processing is governed by its applicable terms and privacy notices.
Our Laundry Profile is provided through Google Forms. Information submitted through that form may be processed and stored by Google under Google’s applicable terms and privacy practices. We may also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our websites.
Our main website uses the U.S. Census Bureau’s geocoding service to convert the address entered in the service-area checker into approximate coordinates so we can determine whether the address is within our current delivery radius.
The Square Online ordering site uses Cookiebot to present cookie choices and store consent preferences. Cloudflare supports hosting and security for our main website, and Zoho supports business email. These and other providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
5. Cookies and analytics
Our websites may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for site operation, checkout, security, preferences and analytics. Google Analytics may collect information about pages viewed, interactions, device and browser characteristics, approximate location and referral sources to help us understand website performance.
Where a cookie-consent tool is displayed, you may use it to accept, reject or adjust nonessential cookie categories. You can also limit cookies through your browser settings, although blocking necessary cookies may interfere with checkout or other website functions.
6. Email and text communications
We and our service providers may send transactional emails or text messages concerning an order, payment, pickup, return delivery, delays or customer support. If you opt in to marketing communications, you may unsubscribe using the instructions in the message. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent necessary service-related communications.
7. Data retention and security
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably needed for service, customer preferences, business records, dispute resolution, safety and legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, but no online or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Do not include alarm codes, unnecessary permanent security codes, government identification numbers, medical records or payment-card numbers in pickup or delivery instructions, the Laundry Profile, email or text messages.
8. Your choices and requests
You may ask us to review, correct or delete personal information associated with you, update your saved Laundry Profile or change your communication preferences by emailing hello@wallflowerlaundry.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when reasonably required by law, safety, fraud prevention, payment, tax or dispute obligations.
9. Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this Privacy Notice to reflect changes in our practices, providers or legal obligations. We will post the revised notice with a new effective date.
